2ND ANNUAL MG HERO RUN 5K
Who Are You Running For?
The Massengale Group Hero Run is for active and retired military, veterans, and their family and friends. Founded by MGKW, whose business is comprised of several proud military families, and in conjunction with Nixa Education Foundation, and located in Nixa, Mo. This 5k is designed to benefit local kids of active and retired military and to promote awareness and support for those who serve. Last year, this run was able to raise $3500 in scholarship monies, that was fully awarded to a local Nixa Senior and daughter or one of our local military heroes. We can't wait to see what we can do this year with your help!! Register yourself or your team today..and tell us...WHO are YOU running for???"
TIMELINE OF EVENTS
Date: November 6th 2021
Setup begins at 6:30 a.m.
Sponsors get there at 7:00 a.m.
Contestants show up as early as 7:30 a.m. for registration and the cutoff is 8:30.
Opening Ceremony begins at 8:30 am
Announcements
Band plays national anthem
Color guard performance- JROTC
Time: 7:30-1:00
5K Race Starts at 9:00 am
Kids/Fun run 10:00 am
Announcements following
Take down begins at 12:00
Rain day will be determined if we get rained out.
Rules for event:
Each participant must stay on the designated route
Each participant should complete all designated exercises along the route. This is meant to be hard and challenge you.
Everyone will meet at the finish line upon completion of your run to cheer on the other participants. No man left behind.
5K EVENT ROUTE

ROUTE BATTLE STATIONS:
There will be 6, drill sergeant led, stations set up throughout the route with boot camp type exercises to challenge your mind and your body.
It won't be fun.

Individual $40 and $45 week of event and $50 day of the event
Team is 4 runners and $140, or $150 the week of, and $160 the day of the event.
Active military run for free (must show military ID at registration)
Age 13-18 years old $20
12 and under or over 65 $15
5 and under run for free (no shirt provided)

INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM PARTICIPANTS
We've Got a Deal For You!
Individual $40 early bird, $45 week of event, and $50 day of the event.
(Race T-shirt provided day of race for all paying participants, sizes S-2XL)
A team is 4 runners and $140 early bird, $150 the week of, and $160 the day of the event.
Age 13-18 years old $20
Students can run for $20.00 a student, $80.00 for a group of four (4).
All students please bring your student ID cards on race day!

Nixa High School Senior Scholarship
The proceeds from our 5k will be developed into a scholarship for one Nixa High School senior student who currently has, or has had in the past, an active duty military parent or parents. We are taking this opportunity to say "thank you" from the bottom of our hearts as a community to the family who sacrificed so much so that we may continue to enjoy the rights and freedoms that we have as United States citizens and proud residents of Nixa, Missouri.
